Peter A. Thomas, DMD
Dr. Thomas was raised in southern New Jersey and fell in love with New Hampshire when he came to Hanover for college. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in psychology and got his DMD at Tufts University of Dental Medicine. Dr. Thomas’ education hasn't stopped there. Each year he completes continuing education courses in general, cosmetic and restorative dentistry as well as in sleep medicine. He has also studied at the prestigious Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Education in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Dr. Thomas shares his knowledge with the world by volunteering with oral health organizations. He is committed to educating people on the benefits of oral health and providing those less fortunate with quality dental treatment. Some notable achievements include:

  • Co-founder of Hampton’s Dentists with a Heart
  • Co-founder of Seacare Dental Services
  • Dental mission trip to Haiti and Jamaica

Dr. Thomas holds memberships with the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry and is a fellow of the International College of Dentists.

When he’s not creating healthy, beautiful smiles he loves entertaining Maine and New Hampshire audiences with his musical talents. His trombone skills are essential to the swing bands he plays with. Dr. Thomas also takes advantage of New Hampshire’s outdoor recreation by biking, skiing, hiking and camping

Nancy Kelley, Registered Dental Hygienist
Nancy has been practicing dental hygiene for over 33 years, and it still remains her passion. She provides each patient with the personal attention that they need and deserve. In addition to cleaning your teeth, inspecting your gum tissue, and exposing your X-rays, she will thoroughly explain dental procedures and listen to your dental and overall health concerns. Nancy loves educating our patients on how they can maintain optimal oral health after they leave our office.

An avid golfer, Nancy maintains a six handicap. She enjoys jogging, photography, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Carol Massengill, Administrative Assistant
Carol has been an invaluable member of our team for seven years. She is the first person you will see when come in for your appointment, and her warm, friendly greeting will make you feel welcome. Carol is a genius when it comes to coordinating schedules, maximizing insurance benefits, and answering patient questions. Dr. Thomas appreciates her dedication and ongoing support. When Carol’s not at the office, she enjoys boating, spending time with her family, walking her dog, and making improvements to her home.

 

Melissa Janvrin, Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper
Melissa has worked in dental office administration for five years, and she's been with us for two. She assists Carol in the front office as needed and maintains our bookkeeping records. Melissa lives in the Seacoast with her husband and children. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, and traveling in her free time.

Lori Sullivan, Dental Assistant
Lori’s enthusiasm and passion for learning make her an excellent dental assistant. She believes that a good doctor-patient relationship is the key to successful dentistry. Lori helps foster this relationship by ensuring that our patients have everything they need to remain comfortable before, during, and after their dental treatment.

Outside of work, Lori enjoys interacting with the New Hampshire wildlife. Some of her outdoor hobbies include photography and gardening.

Teri Holland, RDH
Teri has been a dental hygienist since graduating from New Hampshire Technical Institute in 1986. She moved to Utah with her husband in 1991 where she worked in a family dental practice for 11 years. She moved back to New Hampshire in 2002 to rear their two children and be closer to family. After a brief hiatus and intensive refresher courses, she has returned to dental hygiene with renewed enthusiasm. She is encouraged by the experience, dedication and compassion of Dr. Thomas and his team. Her goal is to help patients achieve and maintain their optimal oral health which is fundamental to overall wellbeing.

Teri loves spending time with her family doing outdoor activities and attending the kid’s sporting events. She also enjoys cooking and reading.

 

Virginia Spinney, Dental Assistant
Virginia has been worked in the field of dentistry for over 30 years. Trained in military, she is proud to be a US Army Veteran. In addition to working in dental offices, she has attended continuing education classes over the years. She interacts amiably with patients.

Virginia has a love for the outdoors. She is a cyclist (both motor and pedal)a ski instructor at Gunstock, a member of the Concord Hurley Girlz ice hockey team, and likes to hike and fish. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Bill, daughter, Ashley, and dog, Toby.

 

Joan Croston, Dental Assistant
Dental assisting in the Seacoast for over 30 years, Joan has been privileged to have met and assisted many wonderful people. Being empathetic to each person’s needs and giving them the best possible care in a warm, positive and professional manner has been the basis for her years in the ever evolving field of dentistry. Regular continuing education courses include most recently coronal polishing and nitrous oxide monitoring.

Joan enjoys being with her family and 5 cats. Other interests include gardening, baking, walks on the beach, singing in the Bethany Praise Choir and volunteering, especially for Compassion International.
